Support in school 

You can talk to any member of staff, this includes:

  • your form teacher
  • the Pupil Support team
  • any other teacher
  • teaching assistants
  • any other adult in school
  • the Mental Health First Aiders (see MHFA page)

If you want to talk to someone but are a bit unsure about what to do, then you can leave a note in the Concerns Box outside Mrs Hudson's office. This is checked every day and if you report a concern someone will find you to have a chat

Trustworthy digital sources of support, guidance and advice for young people in School

As a school, we have been working hard to identify helpful and importantly, "TRUSTED" websites and resources, that supports our pupils Wellbeing and Mental Health.

Kooth is a free online platform that can offer advice, opportunities to chat with other young people and 1-2-1 support from wellbeing professionals. Shout is the UK's first and only free, confidential, 24/7 text messaging support service for anyone who is struggling to cope.Shout 85258 is a de-escalation, volunteer-driven service. This means that we work with people in immediate distress to take them to a calmer moment and empower them with support and techniques to take their next steps to feeling better and handle future issues, as well as possibly signposting someone to further support services or their GP so that they can get continuous and long-term support. 

Anyone of any age, who is a resident in the UK, can text the service for support.

SHINE  A free Early help and Emotional Wellbeing Service for any Young Person living in Stockport. SHINE will provide you with information, advice and guidance relating to your emotional wellbeing.
