Castle Hill Blog 9/5/25
There's no doubt about it, when the weather is better, our school provides wonderful learning opportunities taking advantage of the many beautiful outside spaces we are so fortunate to have on our grounds. In particular our vast forest school. Here you can see Ahmad and Orla using the surrounding beauty to create nature inspired poetry.
Synagogue Visit
Last week, Year 11 pupils visited Manchester Jewish Museum to learn about Judaism, the features of a synagogue and Jewish identity. They found it an interesting and enjoyable experience.

Exam Support
Taking exams and getting the results can be a worrying time for young people and their families, with the pressure to do well causing stress and anxiety, changes in mood and difficulties with sleeping and eating.
Here are some tips to help young people manage these feelings or support someone going through this:
- Prioritise physical well-being: make sure you get enough sleep, eat nutritious food and exercise regularly
- Create a realistic revision timetable: break down tasks into manageable chunks.
- Practice relaxation techniques: deep breathing, mindfulness, or meditation can help manage stress.
- Talk to someone: share your feelings with friends, family, teachers, or other trusted individuals and seek support.
- Challenge negative thoughts: focus on what you can control, like your revision plan.
- Seek professional help: if anxiety or stress is overwhelming consider talking to a counsellor, therapist, or mental health professional.

And Finally...
We are always delighted to hear about the achievements of our pupils outside of school; please do send in any pictures or information of reasons to celebrate your child. This week it gives me great pleasure to share that Ivy in Year 7 has achieved her very first star at the Army Cadets. The Army Cadets offer a variety of activities for young people, focusing on personal development, skills acquisition, and teamwork. Ivy's achievement shows great determination of which we are very proud. Well done!
