Fundraising
I am sure that you are all aware that fundraising is incredibly important to being able to offer the enhanced and exciting extra curricular visits, rewards and residentials on offer to your child. Our dedicated fundraising lead, Laura Agnew works tirelessly throughout the year to ensure that there is a busy calendar of fundraising events for parents and pupils/students to enjoy. Whilst you're shopping over the Easter holidays, (from April-June), you can vote for CHHS Hub trim trail in most Stockport Tesco stores. Just ask for a blue token at the checkout and pop it in the collection box on your way to the exit. Please ask friends and family to vote too! The top prize is £1500 for School to refurbish the Hub pupils' outside play area.
Let's Get Quizzical is coming soon...this event is for parents/carers/friends to get together and enjoy a pub style quiz with some delicious 'pub style grub' while your child will be entertained by staff enjoying a range of fun activities.
A colossal Castle Hill high five goes to Kaitlyn Grace in 9M who wanted to support her school by holding a cake sale. She baked some delicious treats at home and sold these in the KS4 tuck shop alongside some mouth-watering cakes made by our lovely 6th form pupils. Well done Kaitlyn your brilliant idea and hard work raised a magnificent £74.00!
Church Visit
Year 9 pupils visited All Saints Church in Marple on Tuesday for a fantastic Easter experience. They rotated around interactive prayer stations inside the church to learn about the story of Easter. The pupils were encouraged to reflect upon the story and their own lives, considering themes such as friendships, forgiveness and injustice. When asked how they felt inside the church, pupils commented that they felt warm, loved, happy, curious and intrigued. If you would like to visit the Easter experience yourself, including an outdoor trail on Good Friday (for an hour between 9am-12), you can sign up for free https://allsaintsmarple.
