A warm welcome back to the summer term. The sun might not be shining but our pupils as always bring on the positive vibes!
Yesterday, I was very fortunate to be invited to an afternoon tea party with Mrs Kelly's class. What greeted me was an array of delicious looking cakes, scones and sandwiches. This was the final part of the pupils' AQA unit award certificate. We are all incredibly proud of their hard work!

Den Building
Learning through play is often something that is undervalued. However, an activity such as den building boosts creativity and problem‑solving, strengthens physical and motor skills, encourages teamwork and cultivates confidence. It helps children connect with nature, assess risks, and develop resilience through trial and error. Look at this fantastic den that a Year 8 pupil made yesterday, I'm sure you will agree that it looks quite cosy!

Good to Know:
The first of the new monthly drop-in information sessions for families will be a SEND Services Marketplace on 20th May at Stockroom, an opportunity for parents and carers of children and young people with SEND to find out what support is available locally. A range of SEND services will be hosting information stalls, where you can drop in, browse, and have informal conversations with professionals about what they offer, who their support is for, and how families can access help.

And Finally...
As you are aware the whole school participated in the annual welly walk yesterday. The pupils' behaviour was excellent, they encouraged one another when they found it tough and made it round the route in high spirits. A wonderful way for the staff and pupil community to come together to fundraise. A massive thank you to the staff who organised and led the event, I appreciate it's quite the military operation! Also a huge thank you to parents and carers for your support in gaining sponsorship for your child.
