One of the things that people always comment on when they visit our school is the sense of community. The eagerness of the older pupils to show kindness and care to those more junior. In this picture you will see a number of sixth form students who have volunteered to support with our after school football club. They have shown great maturity and patience and for that I am extremely proud!

Taking Care of Our Environment

Y10 ASDAN students visited the local recycling centre as part of their Environment topic this term. Luca, Thomas, Luke and Sam learnt about what happens to our waste, how it is sorted, and the different ways materials like plastic, paper and metal can be recycled.

They listened carefully, asked thoughtful questions and gained a clearer understanding of why recycling correctly is so important. The visit helped them see how their everyday actions can make a positive difference to the environment.

Careers Visit

As part of our careers learning, we want to make sure all children get the chance to meet people who do lots of different jobs. The children were very excited to meet Ross and hear all about his work.

Ross spent ten years as a soldier, where he learned how to work as part of a team and stay calm in tricky situations. Now, he is a firefighter, helping to keep people safe in emergencies. The children loved listening to his stories and were full of brilliant questions.

Emotional Support

Many of our pupils absolutely adore spending time with our superstar therapy dog, Simba. With his gentle nuzzles, waggy tail, and magical calming powers, he’s brilliant at helping children feel settled, happy, and ready to learn.
