Happy half-term everyone! I hope that you and your children have a restful and enjoyable week.

Imaginative Writing

Year 9 pupils have been exploring and analysing WW1 poetry in class this half term. After this, pupils were given the task of writing their own.  Amir Azam in 9D has created this amazing poem!

Freedom
A deafening silence all around,
The trenches now look like a burial ground.
The war has ended. We finally won.
But in my head, the war will go on.
Silence.
Not a single sound.
The war has been going on all year round,
We can finally leave, we are finally free.
The others are all filled with glee.
But even though we are off the battle grounds,
I don't feel safe or sound.

Also, Harley Lennox in 10Y has demonstrated his superb 'writing to argue' skills with this brilliant article.

All donations gratefully received.

Have a wonderful break!
