Every day the pupils in our school remind me of how lucky I am to be a part of their world. We have been preparing pupils to think about this year's theme for anti-bullying week: Respect. When pupils were asked in their assembly to define what the theme meant to them, the overwhelming majority were able to articulate really mature and informed answers showing great awareness of others.
As a parent or carer, you are a vital piece of the puzzle in tackling bullying. You have a unique role to play in guiding and supporting your child through their school years and there are many positive steps you can take to help keep your child safe from bullying and harm.

Later today, I met with the school council pupil representatives for the first time this year, their ideas were well considered and showed care for others, not simply making requests for their own gain. I am immensely proud of them and can't wait to see what ideas they bring to the next meeting!

There will be a minute's silence and reflection in school on Monday.
