This week's assembly focused on asthma, its effects and how to support someone who is having an asthma attack. The pupils listened intently and shared their knowledge and experiences. It was heartening to see how caring they are of one another and how they would want to help each other should one of them have an asthma attack.
Magical Masks!
8W have had an amazingly creative art lesson today and have had the chance to explore mixed media. They have been looking at the theme of masks this term and today they focused on Mardi Gras. It's association with Carnivals in America, Brazil, Italy & Germany. Also all the beautiful costumes, masks, music and parades.
Bellissima Pizza!
This half term, 10/11B have been learning all about Italy. As part of their topic work, the pupils designed and created their very own pizza boxes, showing lots of creativity and imagination.
They then used their cooking skills to make their own pizzas. The pupils enjoyed preparing the ingredients, following instructions and developing their independence in the kitchen. It was a fantastic hands on activity and everyone was very proud of their finished pizzas.
Vibrant Art
Check out this incredible portrait by Thomas from 7A, which brings the style of Giuseppe Arcimboldo to life. He cleverly used a vibrant mix of fruits and vegetables to create a truly unique and imaginative character!

Don't Forget:
And Finally...
Have a read of this beautiful poem that one of our Year 7 pupils has written to his baby cousin.
Malaya Poem
Malaya, this is a letter for future you
I want you – to –
Be chill- don’t copy me
Why?
Cos I’m always in trouble,
It makes my problems double
I remember our first cuddle
My heart, turned to bubbles
Because, you are, so cute
You make me want to reboot
Hair orange like the fruit
Just like my lil bro’s too
