Castle Hill Castle Hill Blog 05/06/2026
What an incredible week this has been with so much to be proud of...this time of year always feels emotional as we review the journey of development our Year 11 pupils have been on and look to celebrate their achievements. This week's assembly was to encourage our pupils to maintain a growth mentality and to be brave. We were extremely privileged to be able to welcome a special guest:
Sef, a fashion icon and successful music artist spoke honestly about his challenges in school and life as an adult with autism. He stayed behind to chat to some of our pupils, he reminded them to be proud of who they are, to put effort into everything they do, and to face new situations with courage. His advice couldn’t have come at a better time for our Year 11s, as they prepare for their next steps.
Fabulous Football!
One of the wonderful things about Castle Hill is that we have many deeply entrenched and unique traditions that bring great excitement and joy to the school community every year. The Year 11 leavers v staff football match is taken very seriously by all; this year's event was a nail‑biter like no other and ended in a draw. Unfortunately, a particularly ferocious rain squall prevented a penalty shoot‑out to determine a winner, leaving the match unresolved but certainly unforgettable.
Awe-inspiring Art!
Lincoln Bennett in Year 7 presented me with this exceptional illustration today, I'm sure you will agree that it should be hanging in the Tate modern but for now it will be featuring on a my happy wall display in my office.

It seems an age ago that we had the splendid Happy Circus here for a spectacular evening of entertainment. Although it has to be said that Demi did an incredible job of warming up the crowd! Well done and thank you Demi!
